Valley Outreach Synagogue
On Sunday, August 22, 2021, the LAJS was thrilled to welcome back the community to our first in-person concert in collaboration with Valley Outreach Synagogue featuring rising Jewish star flutist, Nikka Gershman-Pepper and world-renowned bass-baritone, Rabbi Ron Li-Paz.
Thanks to a generous donor, we were able to offer access to the livestream free of charge! You can watch clips of the concert on our YouTube channel.
To keep up with the current concerns with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we restricted our audience in accordance with the guidelines at the time. The following safety protocols were in place:
- All audience members presented proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on arrival to the performance in order to be admitted.
- All audience members were required to wear masks.
- All performers were fully vaccinated and were tested for COVID-19 the day before the performance.
“It was a brilliant concert and it remains, as it has been for 20+ years, a pleasure and a soul satisfying experience to sing with you. You have, through your dedication and devotion, enabled us to become messengers, bringing Jewish music, old and new, to appriciative audiences and that is a privilage. Thank you for sharing your many talents with us, your devoted followers.”
