Opera Favorites with a Jewish Twist
Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 3:00 PM
Wilshire Boulevard Temple, Glazer Campus
Presented by Wilshire Boulevard Temple
3:00 PM Concert | 5:00 PM VIP Artists’ Reception
Wilshire Boulevard Temple and the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony present an afternoon of music, artistry, and shared joy.
Travel with us through two centuries of opera and song as we celebrate Jewish composers and librettists whose music helped shape the very sound of the opera house. From Mozart to the grandeur of 19th-century Paris to the innovations of Broadway, from Europe to America, their works tell a story of resilience, creativity, and brilliance.
The program highlights works by Jewish composers alongside beloved operatic pieces inspired by biblical stories such as Samson and Delilah, Jacob and Rachel, and Exodus, conducted by our own Maestra Noreen Green. Through soaring voices of acclaimed vocal soloists, orchestral depth, and thoughtfully curated programming, the concert offers a warm, uplifting encounter with music that has shaped both Jewish and classical traditions.
