Kristallnacht Commemoration Event
On November 9, 2025, Adat Shalom Synagogue in Westwood presented a powerful Kristallnacht commemoration featuring the Requiem Ebraico by survivor Eric Zeisl – a moving tribute to his father and the victims of the Shoah. The program was conducted by Dr. Noreen Green, Founding Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony, and featured Kol Ha’Am: Voice of the People Choir; vocal soloists Cantors Mark Childs, Elizabeth Kerstein, and Lisa Peicott; and LA Philharmonic cellist Barry Gold. Special guest E. Randol Schoenberg, Esq., grandson of Eric Zeisl, spoke on the legacy of his grandfather’s music and memory. It was an unforgettable evening of remembrance, resilience, and the enduring power of Jewish music.
