Be sure to catch our very own Dr. Noreen Green on conductor Chaowen Ting’s The Conductor’s Podcast! She will be sharing her entrepreneurial journey, how she uses Jewish music to create memorable moments for her audiences, ideas on collaboration and networking and other personal anecdotes.

For over twenty years, Taiwanese conductor Chaowen Ting has been leading renowned ensembles all over the world. She was recently named as the conductor for the Peabody Youth Orchestra and the Assistant Conductor of Georgia’s Augusta Symphony and serves as the Director of Orchestral Studies at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her innovative work presents provocative orchestral music that not only rouses the ears, but the eyes and mind as well.

Ting is widely recognized for her leadership of music diversity programs and is determined to foster more equality within the classical music field by creating opportunities for diverse voices both on and off the stage. Among her many ambitious programs is Girls Who Conduct, a non-profit mentorship program Ting founded to provide women, women-identifying and non-binary conductors training, mentorship, and a professional network.

Ting conceived The Conductor’s Podcast to provide a platform for anyone interested in learning more about the profession, with topics meant to provide information and encouragement.
